I wrote Even In Your Doubt summer of 2010. In all my life, all my crashes and burns, this period
was the first I truly thought I might not survive. For it was a battle in my mind. A
battle of substances vying for my business. A battle of a lifelong risk who’s
failure loomed heavy. A battle to confront a train speeding towards disaster…

And the world came crashing in on me
And the bill came due. And I sufferered. Shame. Fear. Guilt. Sadness.
Rage.

Sometimes you have to surrender in order to fight. And your doubt, though deep
inside your every core, must be confronted, forgiven and accepted as you find a new
way out. There is always a way out.

This song was written by an imagined future “me” who was willing to fight for me to
believe again in what I was, what I could be, and what I am not.
